Rosemary R. Tudor, 89, passed away Friday evening, April 2, 2021, surrounded by family in her cottage at the Otterbein Franklin SeniorLife Community. She had resided in Franklin since 1973.

She was born May 28, 1931 to Roy and Lola Romine in Covington, IN.

Rosemary graduated from Covington High School in 1949 and then attended Franklin College, where she met and married Richard Tudor. She eventually earned a Bachelor of Elementary Education degree from Indiana State University and a Master of Elementary Education degree from DePauw University.

Rosemary taught elementary students at several schools in Indiana, including ones in Cates, Kingman, Marshall and, finally, at Clark Pleasant Elementary School in Whiteland. In addition to teaching, Rosemary worked with her husband to manage funeral homes in Marshall, Rockville, Bargersville and Franklin.

After a career spanning thirty years, Rosemary retired from teaching. She then filled her time with travel, time with her family and close friends and pursuing her lifelong love of reading. Rosemary was especially known for the many family events she hosted, continuing a long tradition of holiday gatherings and reunions held while she was growing up.

She is survived by her two children, Tamara Tudor Des Jardines (Larry) of Carmel and Tom Tudor (Jill) of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Adam Tudor (Kelly) of Glenn Heights, Texas, Chad Tudor (Angela) of San Antonio, Texas and Luke Tudor (Rebecca) of Avon, Indiana. Rosemary also had four great grandchildren; Aslan, Ohanna Rose Little Flower, Henry and Vivian.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Tudor and two brothers, Jack Romine and Sam Romine.

Visitation will take place from 1-2PM, Thursday, April 8, at Grace United Methodist Church, 1300 E. Adams Drive, Franklin. Rev. David Owens will officiate a funeral service to follow at 2PM at the church. Facemasks and social distancing will be required at the church.

She will be laid to rest at Harris Cemetery, near 4630 W Division Rd in Morgantown, IN, immediately following the service.
